8th grade dance dress code

FINAL WORD ON DRESS CODE: We understand that this is an important night. The Administration, Staff & PTSA want for it to be a fun night for all involved. So, this dress code is less strict than normal school regulations. However, THIS IS NOT A PROM. Tuxedos and formal dresses should be reserved for high school events. Anyone whose clothing does not adhere to dress code will be asked to leave and their ticket will not be refunded.

NO Tuxedo, sagging pants, athletic pants, casual shorts, T-shirts
YES Spaghetti straps, strapless, halter, one shoulder
NO Slits above the knee, 2 piece dresses with bare midriff
NO Excessive cutouts, cleavage or sheer fabric with no backing
NO Mini dresses -- dress must be past the fingertips when arms are at the side

These guidelines have been posted on the school website all year. A paper copy is being sent home with every 8th grade student early in March to ensure that all guidelines are clear.

If parents have any questions or concerns, please check with PTSA members before the event. We want every single 8th Grader to feel special and have fun on this evening.
